Welcome to the Toy Car Box. We are a small independent toy and hobby shop based in Brisbane, Australia. We've been collecting 1:64 scale (Matchbox sized) toy cars since around 2004 and the collection is a mix of all types of vehicles, mostly licensed cars from diecast toy car companies, like Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Majorette, Tomica, Norev, and many more.

In 2020, we started importing cases of cars for the collection and selling the duplicate models on eBay, which then lead to the formation of our eBay store (originally called Evans 1:64 Cars and then renamed to Toy Car Box). After a good couple of years of running the shop as a hobby, and we decided to setup it up as a proper registered business with the aim of supporting more toy car collectors in Australia and around the world. 

In 2023 we launched the ToyCarBox.com webshop, but also wanted to explore the possibility of having a physical store, so we launched a vending machine at Aspley Hypermarket (north side of Brisbane) in May 2024, and then opened a concession stand at Vend Marketplace in Annerley (south side of Brisbane, QLD) in November 2024. We have lots more exciting plans and thank you for joining us on our journey.
